Ombudsman Case Preparation Throughout the UK

Griffiths & Co helps clients organise timelines, evidence, complaint points, impact statements and supporting documents for escalation to an appropriate ombudsman or complaint-handling scheme.

Our services are available remotely throughout the United Kingdom. Face-to-face consultations may also be available across Croydon, London, Surrey and the South East by prior arrangement.

Support may include

  • Complaint chronologies and timelines
  • Identification of unresolved complaint points
  • Evidence organisation
  • Impact statements
  • Responses to final complaint decisions
  • Written ombudsman submissions
  • Requested remedies and outcomes
  • Supporting document bundles

How we can help

Clear preparation for ombudsman escalation

Ombudsman complaints often involve a long history of correspondence, multiple complaint stages and a large volume of supporting documents. This can make it difficult to present the central issues clearly.

We help clients identify what remains unresolved, arrange the events in date order, link each complaint point to supporting evidence and explain the practical or financial impact caused.

We may also help review a final response or deadlock letter, prepare a concise case summary, explain the remedy being requested and organise supporting documents for submission.

Every case is prepared around the client's actual evidence, correspondence and stated objectives. We do not guarantee that an ombudsman or complaint scheme will uphold a complaint.

Our approach

Structured, evidence-focused case preparation

We begin by identifying the organisation involved, the relevant complaint scheme, the stage already reached, any deadline and the outcome the client is seeking.

We may ask for the original complaint, complaint responses, final response or deadlock letter, account records, credit reports, emails, screenshots, invoices, statements and other relevant evidence.

We then help separate the main complaint points, arrange the evidence and prepare a clear submission which explains what happened, what remains unresolved, the impact caused and the remedy requested.

Before work begins, we will explain what information is required, what work we can undertake and the likely fee.

What to provide

Information that may help us assess your case

When contacting us, it may be helpful to provide:

  • A brief summary of the complaint.
  • The name of the organisation involved.
  • Copies of the original complaint and all responses.
  • Any final response or deadlock letter.
  • Relevant emails, statements, account records or screenshots.
  • Details of any incorrect credit-file entry or disputed record.
  • The financial or practical impact caused.
  • The remedy or outcome being requested.
  • Any deadline for submitting the complaint.

Please do not send original documents. Personal information should only be submitted through an appropriate method agreed with Griffiths & Co.

Clear fees before any work begins

Fees depend on the complaint scheme, the volume of correspondence, the complexity of the matter, the evidence available and the work required.

After reviewing the initial information, we will confirm whether we may be able to assist, the proposed scope of work and the applicable fee before starting.

Where a face-to-face consultation is requested, any applicable travel time or travel costs will be discussed and agreed in advance.
